Kuwait Finance House donates the most modern medical device for vascular surgeries in the Middle East to Mubarak hospital to reinforce its capabilities and strengthen KFH social role and efforts in supporting authorities and institutions that provide vital services to citizens and expatriates.
Mr. Yousuf Al-Mailam, DGM, said while handing over the donation cheque to Dr. Mohammed Al-Kandari, Deputy Manager – Mubarak hospital and Dr. Marzouk Al-Bader, Consultant – vascular surgery, that KFH is always keen on supporting the social role which it plays as a major financial institution, in cooperation with official authorities to serve the citizens of this country. He added that providing an integrated service to citizens is a sign of a healthy and developed society.
Mr. Al-Mailam highlighted the significance of the vital role which hospitals and medical centers are playing, considering that medical cares is one of the most significant needs of modern society. The government and the Ministry of Health are exhorting extensive efforts in these fields. However, this matter requires teamwork and more donations from financial institutions so that medical institutions would be able to provide medical care to patients.
Mr. Al-Mailam said that government medical institutions have the priority in receiving financial aid, which KFH provides to society. KFH has donated KD 4,5 million for the construction of a specialized drug addiction treatment hospital, KD 450 thousand for the construction of a specialized treatment section at the central jail and KD 236 thousand as a participation in the construction of the health care hospital sponsored by International Islamic Charity Committee. Furthermore, KFH donates annually since 1999 KD 50 thousand for the GRASS Awareness Project which aims to combat drugs and their negative impact on society and the future of children.
Dr. Al-Kandari expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation, on behalf of Mubarak hospital and all the workers therein, to KFH for this generous donation, which shall form a quality transition in the vascular surgery. This device is the first of its kind in Kuwait and the region, especially that these types of surgeries represent the majority of surgical operations made by the hospital.
Dr. Marzouk Al-Bader said that this device is the most developed device in the field of artery surgeries, which require high accuracy and skill. The device is provided with a camera, auto focus and high-density lighting, which provide the best technical level to carry out operations so far.
