Kuwait Finance House (KFH) announced its Visa prepaid card under the name of "Haj and Omra " card, which has the benefits of credit cards, such as being accepted in Kuwait and abroad, and KFH ATM machines in Kuwait. Since this is a prepaid card, its issuance does not need reviewing the client's credit record, salary or money in the account. In addition, this card, which is for clients above 21 years old, has unlimited usage, as long as there is credit in the card. KFH will donate part of its usage returns to help the poor to go to Haj, starting next year. The Assistant General Manager for Banking Sector Mohammed Al-Fozan stated that KFH gives its clients who use this card an opportunity to be charitable and help those in need. Every transaction done by the card means that KFH will donate 0.5% of the usage return. Al-Fozan added in a press release that one of the prominent reasons to issue this card is KFH's keenness on helping the poor to go to Haj. This card also allows KFH to cooperate with its clients without any additional fees or commitments, except the fees of issuing the card. Furthermore, a study conducted by the bank shows that there is a large segment of clients that needs a card, which has all the benefits of a credit card, but their conditions hinder that aspiration. The limit of the prepaid card is whatever the client has deposited in his account, thus enabling him to control his expenses, and at the same time enjoy the benefits like the credit card holders. Moreover, Al-Fozan said that the card is armed with the chip technology, which guarantees the highest security possible against local and global fraud. Furthermore, all the clients who use this card will be able to enjoy up to 50% discounts in several stores, such as Rotana Hotel, Meridien Kuwait Hotel, Movenpick Al-Beda'a Hotel and Resort, Hassan Glasses, Ali Abdul Wahab and Sons, and many others. The card can be also used for online reservations anytime, anywhere.
