Kuwait Finance House (KFH) CEO Mohammed Al-Omar stated that KFH managed to make the path it has been following since its establishment 30 years ago a reality. It is beyond any doubt that KFH has become a pioneer and exists in various locations, not to mention establishing the Islamic banking industry.
It is worth noting that KFH organized a workshop for the Kuwaiti students studying in the American universities, and it was attended by Assistant General Manager for Banking Sector Mohammed Al-Fozan, and the AGM for Back-Office Sector Abdul Aziz Al-Jaber and Acting AGM for Commercial Sector Talal Al-Heneidy. Al-Omar explained during the workshop that Islamic principles dictate that money works through assets, which means that financial Islamic products work with real economy units and sectors. KFH’s clients and employees are its most precious assets.
Moreover, Al-Omar added that KFH can be found in most geographical locations, whether directly or through subsidiaries and funds that work in most sectors and industries, such as aviation, naval transportation, petrochemicals, IT, and health. This success prompted many governments to ask KFH to operate on its lands, not to mention some countries that request that KFH sends its Kuwaiti employees to train their employees on Islamic banking.
He went on to stress that KFH is glad that other competitors have entered this industry, since this proves the efficiency of the method that KFH has been following for three decades, when people had doubts regarding Islamic banking. However, many conventional banks are turning Islamic today.
Furthermore, Al-Omar said that KFH does not seek only profit, but total benefit, in addition to the fact that KFH was never a burden on the national economy.
The AGM Abdul Aziz Al-Jaber explained that the work environment at KFH encourages its employees to be creative and to develop, which made KFH one of the most stable work environments, since KFH follows Islamic principles. He added that KFH believes that the employee is the most important asset, which makes KFH give its employees extensive training courses.
