Kuwait Finance House (KFH) CEO Mohammed Al-Omar stressed that the role KFH plays as a Shariah compliant financial institution in supporting students, teaching staff, universities, and private and governmental institutions is based on its firm belief that economic growth is linked to education, which prompts KFH to take the initiative and lead the support offered to numerous educational and youths’ programs and projects.
Al-Omar stated in a speech during the honoring of GUST distinguished students, that KFH contributed to supporting several educational activities during the year, such as sending a group of specialists to study and train in one of Harvard University’s centers, in order to increase their knowledge about diabetes, which is considered to be the first initiative of its kind. In addition to that, KFH supported the activities of various local and international activities, such as collaborating with Kuwait University, the Islamic Finance Club, not to mention communicating with Kuwaiti students overseas.
Moreover, Al-Omar praised the efforts exerted by the distinguished students in their studies, in addition to the care they receive from their professors and family. He noted that the university has played its role as a private sector educational institution, which underscores the Kuwaiti private sector’s ability to produce distinguished students. He went on to say that KFH is eager to attract such individuals to join its various work sectors that include banking, investment, commercial, real estate, IT, and others.
Meanwhile, the Chairman and Managing Director of the Educational Holding Group Abdul Rahman Al-Muheilan applauded KFH’s efforts, since it is one of the major supporters to highlight GUST plans and programs. He explained that the success of GUST is represented by upgrading its programs, using advanced technology in the educational field, and creating a perfect educational post graduate atmosphere.
He said that GUST is keen on applying the highest quality standards in all its services, curriculums, and educational programs, not to mention its future vision for the coming years.
