The Acting General Manager at Zakat House Abdul Aziz Al-Bazee praised Kuwait Finance House (KFH) for donating KD 3.372 million, and stressed that it plays a pivotal role in reinforcing the activities and services of Zakat House that offers continuous financial assistance to many authorities in Kuwait. He added in a press statement on the occasion of receiving the donation check from KFH’s Chairman and Managing Director Bader Al-Mukhaizeem, that there is constant coordination between the concerned committees at Zakat House and their counterparts at KFH to channel the donations according to the Shariah.
Meanwhile, Al-Mukhaizeem underscored the importance of playing such a social role, especially that KFH is considered to be an Islamic financial institution that firmly believes that money should serve and develop the society. He went on to say that the annual financial support that KFH offers to Zakat House to distribute among those in need according to certain regulations and terms, is a form of loyalty towards the society that assisted KFH in its path. He applauded the spirit of cooperation that prevails among the Kuwaiti society and the role played by charitable authorities to ensure that the donations reach those who are in need. The donation will be divided as follows: KD 1 million to help families in need in Kuwait; KD 1.220 million to support projects made by Kuwaiti charitable committees; KD 652,000 to execute projects in struggling countries; KD 250,000 to help sick people receive medical treatment and medicines; KD 200,000 to support 666 students studying at Al-Azhar University; and KD 50,000 to take part in feeding fasting Muslims overseas.
The meeting was attended by Zakat House Board Members Mohammed Al-Mukhaizeem and Khaled Al-Jeri, in addition to KFH’s Acting Marketing and Public Relations Manager Saeed Tawfiqi.
