Kuwait Finance House "KFH" has announced presenting an E-version of the Quran for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users. The Quran E-version is featured for easy use with multiple reciters option enabling users to listen to the recitation viewable in Ottoman manuscript printing as well as verses and suras index marks.
Eng- Fahad Khaled Al-Mukhaizeem, Marketing and Public Relations Manager, said that "KFH" is keen to present this special gift by the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, which is abounded with good deeds and acts of worship, the month in which the continuous recitation of the Quran is preferred. This is effort by KFH reflects the Islamic nature of all its business activities being the first Kuwaiti financial institution operating in compliance with the provisions of the Islamic Sharia.
Al-Mukhaizeem added that this step also reflects on KFH’s role within the society through communication with the community and meeting the public needs benefiting from the latest technology, where the lead in technology achieved by KFH has placed it as the pioneer institution among local banks in the use and employment of modern means of technology to manage various businesses. He pointed out that the software can be downloaded by any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch user around the globe.
Software Features
AL-Mukhaizeem explained that the software is specifically designed to display pages of the Quran printed in Ottoman manuscript in accordance with the latest printed copies of the Quran, along with listening option to the recitation of the Quran in an interactive and simplified manner. It also employs the new environment of Apple devices technology, by controlling the viewing and listening process simultaneously, allowing the user to choose to re-play in the middle of verse. In addition, the software provides several reciters enabling the listener to download the recitation they prefer.
The software includes seven reciters; namely, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim, Sheikh Mishary Al-Afasy, Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary, Sheikh Mohammad Siddique Al-Minshawi, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, and Sheikh Abdul Baset Abdul Samad. These reciters are considered to be the elite enjoying popularity among a large segment of listeners worldwide.
The software is also featured with a special technique to save positions of recitation as bookmarks to refer to them. Adding to that, the software provides the possibility to return to the interpretation or translation of any verse in real-time by selecting the verse on the pages of the Quran, and allows users the opportunity to select colors of their preference using simple modern technology features, as well as periodic timetables of the chapters recited with the calculation of the time elapsed.
