Kuwait Finance House (KFH) CEO Mohammed Al-Omar highlighted the importance of the United States’ market, especially in the real estate investment field, where it has several successful deals in the fields of real estate funds and portfolios that have achieved high profits. He noted that KFH began operating in the United States’ real estate market on a wide scale in 1994 by setting up Dana portfolio. Later on, KFH established portfolios and funds that were liquidized before the global financial crisis.
He added during the event held by AFIRE to honor KFH, that KFH maintains strong relationships with major real estate firms operating in the United States market, in addition to holding profitable real estate acquisition deals recently. He went on to say that KFH expects achieving increasing revenues for KFH and its shareholders. He noted that KFH is proud of its accomplishments in this market, and is determined to make further achievements in collaboration with its partners.
Meanwhile, AFIRE’s Chairman Ian Hawksworth awarded KFH a plaque of appreciation in the presence of AFIRE’s CEO James Fetgatter. Hawksworth stated that KFH is a pioneer in Islamic banking, investments, and retail. He went on to say that the bank has 250 branches worldwide, and is successful in the countries it operates in. He said that the organization takes pride in honoring a leading, successful bank like KFH.
It is worth noting that AFIRE was established in 1988 and its headquarters is in Washington. It is considered to be the biggest real estate corporation in the world. AFIRE holds an annual meeting in the United States that is attended by representatives of major companies specialized in real estate investment, in addition to prominent political figures, in order to discuss investment opportunities in the United States and the world.
KFH was elected as a member in the organization and as the representative for the Middle East. In the beginning, the organization targeted real estate foreign investors; however, its success attracted American real estate investors, which allowed the organization to cover all real estate investments around the world.
The honoring was attended by International Real Estate Department Manager Ali Al-Ghannam and Senior Investment Manager Abdullah Al-Ghareer.
