Strategy and Corporate Affairs General Manager at Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Mr. Fahad Al-Mukhaizeem declared that KFH-Research, Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) AND Central Statistical Bureau are currently considering the preparation of economic indicators for the private sector, and upgrade mechanisms followed in its researches. This will cement business and will serve as an additional value to the national economy, resulting in a documented scientific product that includes numerous indicators in the private sector business field in Kuwait. This initiative was made by the Central Statistical Bureau in Kuwait, and reflects great ambitions to boost the performance of the national economy through collaborating with the private and public sectors.
Mr. Al-Mukhaizeem, who is also the Chairman of KFH-Research, mentioned that this collaboration will enforce the performance of the private sector that is considered to be the cornerstone in executing developmental plans; especially after the role of governments has subsided. He explained that this calls for having accurate, unbiased economy indicators that allow experts to be aware of the developments of the market. He applauded the efforts exerted by the participating authorities, and stated that each authority began to demonstrate its visions and steps required to turn the idea into reality.
Moreover, Mr. Al-Mukhaizeem noted that KFH-Research has a vision to develop economic indicators that serve the private sector in various fields; especially that the market lacks estimations regarding numerous vital fields. He stressed that the indicators that KFH-Research seeks to prepare in collaboration with the aforementioned authorities, are considered to be a paradigm shift in the field of economy in Kuwait, and will assist in developing several concepts, methods, and instruments that have been used by companies without having accurate indicators.
It is worth noting that KFH-Research has inked an agreement with the World Bank to reinforce efforts exerted to develop the Islamic banking sector. The agreement is the first of its kind that the WB signs with a research company working in the Islamic banking field. KFH-Research began operating in 2007 and has taken great strides in a few years, since it is one of the first companies working in the Islamic economy field, which allowed it to win numerous prestigious awards. The company is based in Malaysia, and is considered to be one of the most unbiased companies working in the field of Islamic banking researches. The company’s consultations include all economy analysis, feasibility studies of new markets, and future investment projects in various sectors worldwide.
