Kuwait Finance House (KFH) CEO Mohammed Al-Omar received several senior officials working at the Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Sciences, including General Manager Adnan Shehab, in order to discuss the new five-year plan. Al-Omar stressed the importance of supporting economic and scientific activities; especially that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah mentioned on several occasions the importance of boosting the performance in that field. He added that the total contributions made by KFH to the foundation during the past five years reached KD 7.6 million. He went on to say that KFH is willing to support the foundation to execute its plan through the technical and administrative experience possessed by the bank, which will allow the foundation to further develop and prosper.
Meanwhile, Shehab stated that the foundation has completed its new five-year plan by recruiting a group of international consultants and local experts. He explained that the new plan includes an advanced mission and vision, and is based on four main pillars that include developing scientific and technological abilities of the private sector. He added that the foundation will focus on establishing advanced scientific and technological skills, and will assist in adopting new methods, in order to setup an economy that is based on creativity and knowledge. He explained that such steps will directly benefit small and medium sized companies in the private sector, which is of utmost importance, since these companies are the end users of technology.
The meeting was attended by General manager of Strategy and Corporate Affairs Fahad Al-Mukhaizeem, and other officials from the foundation.
