Kuwait Finance House (KFH) held a training course about forms of Shariah-compliant sales for several salesmen working at companies and institutions that KFH deals with. This comes as part of KFH’s mission, since it is considered to be one of the pioneers of Islamic banking. In addition, such a step cements KFH’s partnership with its suppliers, and reinforces its social responsibility role in raising the awareness of the society about rules regarding Islamic banking. The course that was conducted in collaboration with Shariah and Finance Service departments, and presented by Shariah Supervisor Dawoud Al-Jarrah, included fundamentals of Islamic banking and its applications. Such information will increase the level of awareness of the suppliers and clients who are keen to follow Shariah in sales and products. The course also cements the strong relationship that binds KFH to local suppliers; especially that KFH is keen to communicate in many forms, in order to pass on its experience and leadership in the field of Islamic banking through specialized experts in Shariah.
Shariah courses are considered to be vital to KFH’s training policy that it applies to its employees and suppliers, since they are seen as KFH’s partners in success. Suppliers and salesmen should be aware of Shariah rules in buying and selling, since the differ than conventional sales rules. This prompts KFH to intensify such courses, in order to raise the awareness of as many people as possible.
In addition, Shariah programs at KFH have different levels based on level of knowledge in the field that witnesses constant development through researches and studies. Many experts in Islamic and foreign countries work in that field, since Islamic banking is highly demanded by all; especially after the success of its products and instruments, not to mention its ability to absorb economic turbulences.
