Kuwait Finance House “KFH” organized in collaboration with the Islamic Finance Club at Gulf University for Science and Technology a scientific trip for a delegation of the university students to the United Kingdom to see the experiences of Islamic economy through financial and academic institutions specialized in this field.
17 students from various majors of the university participated in this trip, during which they explored the British experience in several cities starting from the capital London. Moreover KFH organized, on the sidelines of the visit, a lecture on the principles of Islamic economy and its impacts on the lives of communities.
The trip that lasted for 7 days aimed to develop scientific knowledge in Islamic finance and increase awareness of the latest development of this industry.
One of the most important rounds was visiting the University of Durham and meeting a group of scholars from around the world who are specialized in Islamic finance and are looking forward to getting the doctoral and master's degrees from the University.
The delegation also visited the Islamic Institute of banks that gave the delegation a seminar on how to use the tools of Islamic finance in banks and Islamic insurance companies, in addition to visiting the Center for Islamic Studies of Oxford University.
Furthermore, London Stock Exchange acquainted the students with the British market and its relationship with other global markets, in addition to the lecture dealing with the field of investment and opportunities in order to expand the perceptions of students in this area.
