Kuwait Finance House (KFH), in collaboration with Kuwait Airways, launched ‘Baitok – Oasis Club’ prepaid card that has a common brand, in order to encourage clients to use their prepaid cards during the local and overseas purchases. Once the card in activated, the client will be granted 1600 miles for free, two free miles for every local purchase worth KD 1, and three free miles for every overseas purchase. Those miles can be exchanged for tickets later or for upgrading the class of the ticket on Kuwait Airways.
Chief Retail Banking Officer Mohammed Al-Fouzan stated that the follow-up system will record the number of miles gained by the client after every purchase, and will receive points when entering the Waha Club membership account. He explained that no credit history is required for this card, and there are no restraints regarding the salary or account balance, not to mention that that this card can be issued to people who do not have KFH accounts. He added that the card allows its holder to take advantage of 50% discount at 500 stores, and is accepted by over 10 million merchants and ATM machines worldwide, not to mention having the 3D security service when making online payments. The card also offers SMS messages for overseas purchases over KD 15, and allows the owner to enter a monthly draw for two winners to win airline tickets to Dubai. He went on to say that the privileges include being part of all current Master Card promotions, and using the lounges at a number of international airports twice a year for free.
Moreover, Al-Fouzan mentioned that this card is a safer option than carrying money, and allows clients to control their expenses. He noted that KFH has always been keen to increase its market share through raising the awareness of clients to the importance of using those cards, especially since using those cards has become a global trend. He applauded the bank’s collaboration with Kuwait Airways, and praised the efforts of the team to make this promotion successful.
Meanwhile, Al Waha Club Manager at Kuwait Airways Khaled Al-Harbi lauded the partnership with KFH, since it coincides with the company’s strategy to improve the level of services offered to Al Waha Club members that reached 235,000. He added that such a partnership seeks to allow Al Waha Club members to gain more miles through using the prepaid card.
