Kuwait Finance House (KFH) took part in the celebration held by Dasman Institute for diabetes to celebrate its accreditation by the Canadian accreditation board, where KFH’s role was highlighted in fighting the disease, not to mention its efforts to support the Ministry of Health and other official authorities.
The institute’s General Manager Dr. Kazem Behbehani applauded the institute’s accomplishments, and underscored the continuous collaboration between the institute and KFH, which led to controlling the spread of the disease; especially that Kuwait has a high rate of diabetes citizens.
It is worth noting that KFH had launched earlier a diabetes application for iPhone users in Arabic and English, and 8300 users benefitted from this application in less than two months. The application can be downloaded for free from App Store, where the latest information and tips about the disease can be found for users, including diets suitable for diabetic people.
In addition, KFH was the first bank to sign an international agreement with IDF that has over 200 associations working under its umbrella in the diabetes field in over 160 countries. KFH was also the only bank present at the latest international diabetes forum held in Dubai. This prestigious event was attended by 15,000 experts in this field from various parts of the globe.
Furthermore, during the last two years, KFH had sent scholars to international diabetes institutions, including a center that is affiliated with Harvard University, in order to shed light on the latest efforts and researches in the field of diabetes, not to mention the means of limiting the spread of the disease, and the means to overcome it.
