Acting Chief Retail Banking Officer at Kuwait Finance House KFH Emad Al- Sarawi said that the volume of sales of Al-Khair prepaid card until the end of the month of August 2013 has increased 24 % over the same period last year which reflects its numerous features, not to mention being a demand for many clients who wish to contribute to charity work during their purchases through Al-Khair card.
Al-Sarawi explained that this increase expresses how important this card is for KFH's clients. He mentioned that Al-Khair Card is a unique Islamic card that enables clients to control expenses in addition to granting them the opportunity to help the poor to do Hajj and Umrah in which every spend using this card helps a noble cause and a good deed.
Moreover he said that Al-Khair Card enjoys many features where it can be used for online booking and purchases, not to mention amazing discounts up to 50 % at more than 300 merchant locations and outlets. In addition, this card is accepted at all electronic points of sale in Kuwait and overseas. Besides, cash withdrawal is available at over 850,000 ATMs outside Kuwait and KFH's ATMs in Kuwait.
He noted that issuing the card doesn’t require credit history, nor any restrictions on the basis of salary or account balance and also no maximum limit for use as long as the card has the available balance. He added that this card is intended to clients segment over the age of 18.
It's worth noting that KFH donates 0.25 % of the purchasing value locally and abroad into an account that is used to send needy people to Hajj and Umrah as part of the bank's social and moral responsibility.
Al-Khair Card contributed to grant the opportunity to more than 1000 people to do Umrah in coordination with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs where KFH took upon itself all expenses whether travelling ticket, visa, accommodation and transportation.
