Kuwait Finance House (KFH), the world's leading Islamic financial institution, won an 'innovation' award in e-learning from Track Learning Solutions, which is the authorized dealer for Skill Soft, the world's top e-learning provider.
Human Resources and Services General Manager at KFH Zeyad Al-Omar stated on this occasion that KFH won the award because it is the first among other banks in providing its employees with online training courses, which is over one third of the requirements demanded by local authorities in that field.
Al-Omar said that the rate of increase in e-learning users at KFH reached during the past seven years over 300% (882 users in 2013). He added that the number of training programs exceeds 500 subjects. He went on to say that the scientific subject can be developed locally and used through internal network program by forming training groups, and registering trainees.
Al-Omar assured that KFH helms the responsibility of training and developing its human resources, and it works tirelessly to provide all means and mechanisms of enhancing the level of employees through boosting their skills in line with the technological advancement and hand in hand with the strategic plans of the bank.
He noted that the bank, through the Department of Development and Training holds the mission of coordinating and cooperating with all reputable institutions in this field. He said that human investment is the best kind of investments where it generates long term profits and motivates employees to further innovations that lie on the benefit of clients. He underlined the importance of the award that the bank bagged in 2009 as the Best User of E-Learning in the Middle East and North Africa.
Meanwhile, General Manager Assistant of Track Learning Solutions, Fouad Mohsen, applauded KFH’s exerted efforts in developing and training its human resources, noting that the bank deserves this award in recognition of its leading and pioneering position in the training and development field.
