Kuwait Finance House KFH has won the Excellence Award in training national workforce for the year 2013 as the first in Kuwait private sector.
The Undersecretary of the State Manpower Restructuring Program, Fawzi Al-Majdali, applauded KFH’s role in training and developing the skills of national workforce, and in collaborating with the program which contributes to the comprehensive development in the country.
National Workforce Department Manager, Iman Al-Ansari, said in the same context that KFH topped the list in training private sector employees. She added that the bank has the largest share in training courses with the Program, and is the main supporter in offering training materials.
Meanwhile, Human Resources and Public Services General Manager at KFH Zeyad Al-Omar stressed that developing and honing the national workforce’s skills is one of the bank’s priorities; especially since KFH works relentlessly to develop the capabilities of its employees, which is reflected on the bank’s performance.
He added that the development and training of young Kuwaiti employees, is an ongoing strategy; especially that KFH managed to spearhead the field of Islamic banking, and cement its cornerstones in local and global markets.
He went on to say that KFH has also succeeded in creating skillful Kuwaiti employees which is an added value to the society and the national economy. He revealed that KFH is known among economic bodies as the pioneer of Islamic banking, not to mention being dubbed as the Harvard of Islamic banks.
