Kuwait Finance House (KFH) offered Zakat House KD 6 million as zakat from shareholders to support and finance charitable projects in Kuwait and overseas in collaboration with official authorities working in that field, which is part of its social responsibility.
KFH’s Chairman Hamad Al-Marzouq stressed during receiving a delegation from Zakat House that included General Manager Ibraheem Al-Saleh, that KFH will continue to shoulder its social responsibility to serve Kuwait and its people whether through direct financial contributions to charity, or through expanding its role as a successful Islamic banking corporation that offers products and services that meet the requirements of its clients. In addition, such products and services boost the economy and support national products. He revealed that KFH is keen to play a more prominent role in the economy during the coming period as part of its strategy for the local market.
He added that KFH’s priority is to make the government’s development plan successful, and to serve all segments of the society, in addition to supporting projects shouldered by charitable societies.
Meanwhile, Al-Saleh stated that KFH underlines the support of the society, which is evident by its financial support of Zakat House; thus making KFH well-known in the charity field. He applauded KFH for collaborating with various official and public authorities to accomplish the goal of encouraging charity and the spread of meanings of brotherhood among various segments of the society.
He explained that part of the money will be allocated to projects and activities in Kuwait, while the rest will be for overseas charity development projects executed under the name of Kuwait through Zakat House. He asserted that such efforts reveal the bright image of Kuwait and its people, and cements charity work worldwide.
