Kuwait Finance House (KFH) organized a blood donation campaign in conjunction with the World Blood Donation Day on June 14th as per the World Health Organization (WHO). This step underlines KFH’s keenness to take part in such events that are part of KFH’s social responsibility.
The campaign that took place at Baitak Tower, witnessed huge participation of KFH employees and the public. In addition, it achieved success in terms of organizing, turnout and the professional medical staff. Moreover, the campaign reflects KFH identity as a leading Islamic financial institution, which urges it to assume the social responsibility and reinforce philanthropy and good deeds among individuals in the society by raising the importance of blood donation as it saves the lives of those in need for blood.
The campaign is considered to be a response to the repetitive requests made by the Central Blood Bank to donate blood. It also complements KFH’s role in the health field that includes building a hospital for drug addicts, not to mention that KFH was the first institution to sign a memorandum of understanding with International Diabetes Federation (IDF) to serve diabetic people and raise awareness about the disease worldwide, and the first bank that launches diabetes applications on smartphones, in addition to several initiatives.
