First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, honored Kuwait Finance House (KFH) for its role as the strategic sponsor of Hackathon Kuwait 2024, a challenge organized by the National Cyber Security Center in cooperation with CODED Academy. Al-Yousef presented an honorary shield to KFH Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Abdulwahab Iesa Al Rushood.
His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef commended the sponsors and organizers of the Hackathon, expressing gratitude for their contribution to the challenge's success and the empowerment of national competencies.
During the closing ceremony, attended by Minister of State for Communications Affairs Omar Alomar and Acting Head of the National Cyber Security Center Dima Al-Sumait, he emphasized that cybersecurity has become a fundamental pillar for societal stability and the protection of individual and institutional data. He added that such events aren't just competitions; they drive creative thinking and innovation.
Al Rushood said that KFH participated in the first Hackathon Kuwait to empower Kuwaiti youth and maximize their cybersecurity potential. This participation aligns with KFH's ongoing efforts to foster a secure digital society, enabling its members to enjoy the latest and best digital services and products.
He commended the innovative initiatives presented by young Kuwaiti participants in cybersecurity. The Hackathon was marked by intense competition, with winning teams demonstrating exceptional ingenuity in developing numerous solutions.

Al Rushood emphasized KFH's key role in the "Diraya" campaign, a CBK and KBA initiative to educate customers about their banking rights and responsibilities.
