KFH: 170 programs offer employees 4000 training opportunities
The Manager of the Human Resources Department at Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Mohammed Al-Jallal said that KFH has set an ambitious plan for training and development in 2011 that focuses on several important issues that go hand in hand with the global developments in the field of training. The plan focuses on internal training, workshops, e-learning, and the development of senior employees in collaboration with specialized international institutions in Kuwait and overseas. He explained that the training plan for this year consists of 170 training courses in more than 50 training materials in various fields, where most of them are internal programs taught by 15 highly qualified internal trainers, and that it offers over 4000 training opportunities for employees. He went on to say that the HR Department at KFH depends on more than 25 internal trainers, where 15 employees were trained to become qualified trainers last year, based on the requirements of the International Federal Training and Development Organization. The department plans to train 15 more internal trainers this year.
Moreover, Al-Jallal stressed that KFH was one of the first Kuwait and regional financial institutions that trains its employees to become trainers, which allows them to reveal their creativity in fields other than their daily tasks. He noted that KFH managed to continue to recruit Kuwaitis, despite the negative impact of the global crisis that affected financial institutions during the past years.
